Delivering my local plan for South Perth
My family and I are deeply invested in this wonderful community.
South Perth is where I’m raising my family, have worked hard to build a successful business, and currently serve as your Deputy Mayor.
I am deeply committed to addressing the big challenges our community faces.
As part of the Mettam Liberal Team, I will deliver real solutions for South Perth, driven by the right priorities to build a better future.
Meeting so many locals during this campaign has been a privilege, and your feedback has shaped my local plan.

Solving the housing crisis in South Perth is essential to ensure affordability, accessibility and sustainable development.
Rising costs and the lack of planning for our community’s future means that housing is more expensive than ever, putting pressure on long-term residents and creating barriers for new people joining our community. A balanced approach to development and real action from a strong local member can enhance South Perth’s liveability.
The Mettam Liberal Team have a plan to invest $500M to tackle the housing crisis by directly investing in infrastructure that unlocks more housing.

Fixing the parking and traffic issues in South Perth is critical to busting congestion and getting people to where they need to go.
Increasing congestion and limited parking is straining our local infrastructure, discouraging locals and tourists from visiting our amenities and small businesses. Effective solutions, such as improved public transport, smart parking systems, and pedestrian-friendly designs, can reduce traffic, enhance mobility, and promote sustainability.
Alleviating congestion supports local businesses, improves quality of life, and reduces environmental impacts from vehicle emissions. By prioritising efficient strategies, South Perth can preserve its charm while accommodating growth.

Ensuring South Perth has access to world-class specialist health services is vital for the well-being and resilience of our aging community.
Local access to advanced healthcare reduces the burden of travel for locals, particularly the elderly and those with chronic conditions, enabling timely diagnoses and treatments. High quality specialist services make South Perth accessible to more people and enhances our healthcare standards.
By prioritising investment in specialist facilities and services, South Perth can provide equitable, cutting-edge care and maintain its standing as a thriving, healthy community.

South Perth needs new and improved sports infrastructure to support a healthy, active community that caters for athletes of all levels.
We need modern facilities that cater to the growing demands of all kinds of sports, accommodating residents of all ages and abilities. Upgraded infrastructure enhances local clubs, attracts regional competitions, and boosts pride in our community.
Investment in sports promotes physical and mental well-being, reduces healthcare costs, and strengthens community bonds. High quality amenities also support youth development and provide safe spaces for engagement.
NEW AND IMPROVED SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY

Cracking down on hoons in the Peninsula, car break-ins at the South Perth foreshore, and burglaries in the area is paramount for community safety, property protection, and preserving South Perth’s reputation as a safe and welcoming area.
Reckless driving poses serious risks to pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users, while theft and burglaries undermine South Perth residents’ sense of security and deter visitors. More police on our streets, harsher penalties for perpetrators of reckless and violent crime and stopping the problem at the start through education are the solutions South Perth deserves.
The WA Liberals have already committed $500M to crackdown on crime and invest in more police.

Since 1969, Como Secondary College has done an outstanding job of educating our children.
Despite this, the current Labor government has poured next to no funding into the school to improve its aging and dilapidated infrastructure. Poor internet connection, outdated classrooms, and rain pouring in through the roof isn’t good enough for our kids or teachers.
We need to invest in our schools in order to give the next generation the best springboard possible to be successful in their future endeavours.
